1) Wow, he looks like his Daddy.

Thanks, Cal. That’s good advice. I think you’re right. I like the control and having something that is uniquely mine where I can expound if necessary. Your division of labor between FB and Aftermath makes sense and I’ll strive to use the two to their fullest and best attributes.

Perhaps the answer is to continue to use both — choosing Aftermath or Facebook based on your need and intention. But then the question becomes: What goes where?

Use Facebook to connect with family, friends, and acquaintances. As you said, with Facebook, it’s easy for readers to response — to have a conversation. Focus on events, news updates, what is happening now. If your intent is primarily to engage, or you have something you want to quickly share with others, post to Facebook.

Use Aftermath to communicate your expertise, experience, and perspective. A blog allows for greater depth of content, a clearer voice. Use Aftermath to bring readers up-to-date with family and personal information.

With a blog you have more control. You determine how your content is presented and how it is archived. Aftermath is uniquely yours — kind of a personal brand — and far more than Facebook lets readers know who you are.

It’s just my opinion and I hope it helps.

I finally had the original white castle while visiting Michigan for nolans baptism. Great times
